The Mountain Hearth & Patio Difference

Have you ever wondered why we’re the Foothills and Denver Metro’s premier fireplace company?

In a world where people comparison-shop, we are reminded of the saying, “You can have quality or you can have it cheap, but you can’t have both.”

The short story is that we focus on quality.

Because we care about quality, we go the extra mile. Here’s a look at why people love Mountain Hearth & Patio and our service division, Mountain Man Fireplace & Chimney!

Full Service

We take great pride in the fact that we are a full service company. We handle literally everything from expert solutions in finding the perfect product for you, to installation, maintenance, and repairs. Our many testimonials from happy customers reflect the professionalism and dedication we bring to every project.

From our initial contact to lighting your first fire, we take care of everything related to the installation of the perfect fireplace, insert, or stove for you. Our goal is to exceed your expectations whether we’re performing annual maintenance or installing a brand new fireplace!

Attention to Detail

It might seem obvious to anyone who values quality, but attention to detail is uncommon these days. Many so-called professionals skip the details because they’re rushing or… dare we say it… they just don’t care.

Our scheduling takes into account the unexpected (which we often find) so our service calls are never rushed.

Our commitment is to excellence. Excellence includes not ignoring details, even (or especially) the details that nobody will ever see. We treat every installation, service call, or repair with care and precision. That’s the only way to get satisfactory results!

Thoughtful Solutions

Customers come to us with a variety of problems.

  • “I have one room that’s always freezing.”

  • “My gas stove doesn’t put out enough heat.”

  • “I want to switch from wood to gas.”

  • “I haven’t used my open wood-burning fireplace in a decade because it’s drafty and my house fills with smoke. Is there anything I can do besides tear it down and start over?”

  • “My wood stove spews so much smoke I’m afraid my neighbors hate me every time I make a fire!”

  • “This 1980s insert is hideous. What are my options for efficiency and beauty?”

  • “Is there a way to enjoy flames without heating myself out of the house?”

  • “My chimney is 50 years old. Is it still safe?”

  • “I think I had a chimney fire. What now?”

We’ll show you the latest in technologically advanced fireplaces that will slash your heating bills. We’ll teach you how to optimize your catalytic combustor. We’ll educate you in how to prevent chimney fires and we’ll make sure your older fireplace chimney is still safe - we’re your problem solvers!

seamless installations

We do a tremendous amount of work before installation day including a site visit where we assess the situation, take precise measurements, talk to you about your goals and needs, and proactively work on addressing any potential installation challenges. Beyond aesthetics, we also ensure the safety of a new fireplace, insert, or freestanding stove. Safety starts behind the scenes. We do not take shortcuts.

On installation day, we minimize disruption to your home by coming prepared!

No surprises

Our pricing proposals are detailed, yet we don’t nickel-and-dime you. For example, if our venting price is $2,000, that cost is based on our site visit and measurements, and includes every bit of venting, all elbows, connectors, flashing, braces, caps, and other parts required for a successful installation.

We don’t like surprises any more than you do!

Transformations

One of our favorite things is seeing our customers’ happy faces when they light their first fire.

We don’t just sell fireplaces, we provide solutions. Many customers have taken the time to educate themselves on what’s available. However, they rarely have the expertise to ensure a great result.

Take inserts, for example. Just because an existing masonry fireplace opening is a certain size doesn’t mean that an insert with the same front dimensions will fit. Many fireboxes taper toward the rear, and rear dimensions are often much smaller than they are in the front so not all inserts will fit. Sometimes we have to size down. Other times, we can recommend a product that will fit better.

We excel at bringing your vision into reality! We partner with reputable high-quality companies including tile experts and stonemasons who will put the finishing touches on a new or renovated hearth.

We work closely with our clients to ensure every detail of their fireplace project matches their expectations. From our initial consultation to lighting your first fire, we prioritize fast, responsive communication and craftsmanship to deliver results that enhance the functionality and livability of your home.

Our Portfolio pages and our Before/After page helps customers see what our transformations look like. Our results speak for themselves!

Why Customers Keep Coming Back: Reliable Service & Repairs

Homeowners may face unexpected problems that require immediate attention. A pilot light won’t light, or won’t stay lit. A stove is blowing smoke back into the house. You heard a disturbing loud popping or “jet engine” sound from your chimney.

Our customers call us for reliable service and repairs, and every time, no matter what the problem is, our goal is the same: safety, and your satisfaction.

Many customers will buy a second fireplace from us but it’s our expert service and repair teams that keep our customers coming back. From routine cleanings and inspections to a complex repair, our approach is the same: professionalism, knowledge, dedication, and care.

We’re more than just a fireplace store. We’re a trusted partner you can count on to keep your home safe and warm.
